One pot pasta

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 300 g pasta
  • 1 400g can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • parmesan cheese to garnish
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
    Optional tasty additions:
  • 1-2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 springs basil
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Black olives
  • 1-2 Anchovies
  • 1/2 cup marinated artichokes
  • 1/2 chopped zucchini

Method

Put the pasta, tomatoes, 600 ml of water (1,5 400ml tomato cans), minced garlic, sliced onion, chopped basil and other additions into 1,5 L pot. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the pasta is cooked to al dente, stirring occasionally, about 9-10 minutes. Adjust salt & pepper.

Serve with cheese and more basil.
