2 onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp ginger, minced
1 hot pepper, minced
1 tsp ea: turmeric, garam masala
2 tsp ea: cumin, cumin seeds, paprica
1 tbsp ea: coriander and amchoor
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cups tomatoes
2/3 cups water
4 cups cooked chickpeas
1/2 tsp salt
Sauté onions, garlic, ginger and hot peppers together for 5 minutes.
Grind spices together, add to the pan, reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring constantlry for 1-2 minutes
Add tomatoes, water, chickpeas, salt and lemon and bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve with rice and naan.
